Iceland or Bust – Danner Footwear and Helly Hansen Apparel for the Road Less Traveled
I recently traveled to Iceland with Danner to test out their new Weatherized Collection landing this Fall/Winter 2018 (more to come on that once available!), and was also able to put some Helly Hansen outerwear to the test as well as lululemon apparel. I regularly outfit men in lululemon as I’ve been handling PR on the men’s side of their business for over four years, but I too am a huge fan of the women’s apparel and wear it almost daily. For this trip in particular, and let’s be honest – every week since I’ve been back, the women’s On The Fly Pant is what you’ll find me in. Made with four-way stretch, sweat-wicking Full-On® Luxtreme fabric, these pants are so soft and comfortable, and perfect for travel as they do not wrinkle. They’re great for hiking, going out to dinner, stretching, and just about anything else. I want one in every color!
The jacket I’m wearing in this photo is the W Captains Parka in Paprika from Helly Hansen, which I also absolutely love for my spring/summer raincoat (key in the PNW) – the color is fabulous!! All my HH parkas and raincoats are top notch … always totally waterproof, and for spring, fall and winter, the insulated options are cozy and warm.
I can’t not mention Danner here since they’re the ones who brought me to Iceland! I’m wearing Danner’s retro Jag in this picture that originally debuted in the 80’s, but in a new wool colorway coming this September. Danner in general, though, makes the most comfortable hiking boots and they have great style. Just as easily worn in urban environments as the mountains, I now have several go-to’s, most of which can be found here.
