Seattle, WA, May 14, 2019 — Adventuremobile, Inc. is proud to announce RLD Design canopies and products will now be available to the North American market through RLD Design USA. RLD Design canopies are the premium stainless-steel canopies built in South Africa and designed around the demanding needs of the overlanding, off road and adventuring community. The style, utility and strength of these new models are simply unmatched. The days of heavy, strained fiberglass canopies are behind us, and the design of the new RLD Design stainless steel caps offer significant benefits over aluminum designs.

RLD Design products are designed and built for ergonomics and aesthetics, while also keeping practicality and versatility in mind. These ground-breaking canopies are built with modern methods and materials to make them ultimate solution for anyone who demands the most of their trucks.

An industry leading 700lbs dynamic load rating means a rooftop tent, outdoor gear or even a load of lumber will not stress the structural integrity of these canopies. The unique construction creates incredibly strong load bearing structures that can withstand the rigors of adventure outfitting. Each component is laser cut and bent on a multi-axis CNC based on three-dimensional CAD models. Additionally, TIG welded seams ensure a watertight, secure construction, while the canopy is finished with a robust, textured-powder coat guaranteeing a long-lasting, durable finish.

RLD Design was founded in 2014 and is based in Pretoria, South Africa. In 5 short years, over 6500
canopies have been built and fitted to vehicles across Africa, Australia and Europe. Riann Ludik, the founder, was originally inspired to create this unique canopy design because he needed a canopy for himself and could not find a solution on the market that met his needs. With his mechanical engineering background and 15+ years of experience working with sheet metal, he designed a canopy
system that would be the most practical and cost-effective solution for truck owners who require a strong solution.

• Standard color options include black, grey and white. Custom colors can be optioned
• Fitment is a very straightforward system, utilizing the vehicle’s factory bedside rails.
• Weighs roughly 150 lbs (base model), significantly less than most reinforced fiberglass canopies.

Vehicle Specific Sizing

RLD Design Canopies are specifically designed to have a perfect fitment across the wide variety of trucks available in the North American market. These canopies are not a “one-size fits all” product with different models produced for each specific bed dimensions across each truck generation. For trucks with a 5-6’ bed, every RLD Design canopy will utilize one full length side door, while full-size trucks with 6’+ beds will integrate two-doors per side for increased stability.

Customization

Customers can order their canopy with a wide variety of unique options. The 3 standard exterior color options will be free and readily in stock with custom powder coating also available (any color within the RAL color palate). Additionally, customers will have several other options to customize their RLD Design canopy specific to their needs. These include:

• Choice of adding sliding or solid side windows to standard solid side gullwing doors
• Choice of a rear window glass or a solid rear door
• Choice of cabinet options for the driver or passenger side
• Kitchen Kit upgrade to the side cabinets, which includes a custom foam insert with dishware,
  utensils, and an integrated drop-down side table
• Integrated Rail Slider Kit provides easy side access to Lion Box storage containers in a way that
  maximizes bed storage space

Roof Rack Options

RLD Canopies can have up to three load bars bolted directly to the canopy – no modification necessary. Like all RLD products, these load bars are durable, powder coated stainless steel. Roof top tents or other brand roof racks can be installed directly to these load bars. If there is need for more functional storage, RLD canopies can be outfitted with an RLD Platform Roof Rack. These platforms are also manufactured from a powder coated stainless steel and are a simple bolt on installation. These platforms are 50” or 60” wide, with three different lengths available for each, allowing for a perfect fit to any needs.

Canopies will be available at dealers nationwide or can ship direct to the customer, banded to a pallet and wrapped in bubble wrap with a fitment manual and necessary hardware and brackets. Custom options and accessories (excluding windows) do not come pre-installed to reduce the possibility for damage in transit. Fulfillment and shipping times may be up to 60-days depending on custom options and colors ordered.
