WH INC. EXPANDS BEVERAGE PORTFOLIO AS PUBLIC RELATIONS PARTNER FOR ICONIC CRAFT BRANDS, REDHOOK AND WIDMER BROS. BREWING

Seattle, Washington [July 17, 2024] – WH inc. welcomes two of the nation’s most celebrated breweries, Redhook and Widmer Brothers, into their public relations portfolio. They join 10 Barrel Brewing as a part of WH inc.’s food & beverage group, establishing the agency as Tilray Craft Beer’s Agency of Record for the Pacific Northwest. Known for their work with lifestyle and outdoor brands, WH inc. continues to serve as a leading full-service marketing and communications agency for a host of global brands.

Redhook and Widmer Brothers entered the partnership with WH inc. following the strong growth of their sister brand, 10 Barrel Brewing, since establishing a formal relationship with the agency in 2022. WH inc. has been tasked with helping drive ongoing regional awareness around these historic brands, their legacies, and continued innovation in the craft space.

“Redhook Brewing and Widmer Brothers are craft pioneers who helped put the Pacific Northwest on the map as the nation’s leading craft brewing region,” said Brian Hughes, PNW Brand Director for Tilray Brands. “With that, there is no better agency than WH inc. to help drive these brands’ PR program. As a brand partner for 10 Barrel Brewing, the agency has helped drive national awareness and growth for 10 Barrel Brewing and we’re excited to see them help shape and drive the stories around these classic craft brands.”

Founded in Seattle in 1981, Redhook earned its reputation as a pioneer in craft with the creation of American staples like ESB and Long Hammer IPA, some of the first and most beloved brands in their respective categories. Known for brewing the “Hardest-Working Beer in the Fridge,” Redhook has remained one of Washington’s most prominent breweries for more than four decades, modernizing its innovative approach with its popular lineup of Big Ballard IPAs. With the collection’s newest edition—Juicy Big Ballard IPA—launching later this summer, expect to see a lot more Redhook on tap moving forward.

Across state lines, Widmer Brothers Brewing Company has been brewing in its hometown of Portland, Oregon, since 1984, when two brothers abandoned their day jobs to pursue a shared passion for beer. Coupled with its longstanding support for the Portland Timbers soccer team, Widmer Bros’ contributions to brewing helped shape the city’s culture over the years, ushering in a new era for craft beer with Portland at the front lines. Its flagship brew—Hefe—established the category of American-style Hefeweizen, a recipe that continues to define the flavor standard today, while adding in the citrus twist that has become a staple addition for any American Hefeweizen served today.

“We couldn’t be prouder to partner with Redhook and Widmer, and to be trusted to help chart their path forward while recognizing the deep legacy these brands have in the craft industry,” said Martin Maisonpierre, general manager, WH inc. “Their rich history of innovation is a strong foundation for storytelling and our team is eager to help amplify those throughout the region.”

About Redhook Brewery
Beer that captures the spirit of Pacific Northwest innovation and community. At Redhook, we’re driven by the belief that every beer drinker deserves something extraordinary. Founded in 1981 by Paul Shipman and Gordon Bowker, our brewery emerged from humble beginnings in a renovated transmission shop in Ballard, Seattle, using second-hand equipment and sheer determination.

Fast forward four decades, and the beer scene, much like our vibrant hometown of Seattle, has evolved significantly. Yet, amidst the changes, our dedication to crafting exceptional, approachable beers remains unwavering. While our recipes may have evolved, the entrepreneurial spirit and relentless work ethic instilled by our founders continue to shape our pursuit of creating the hardest-working beer in your fridge. Join us as we raise a toast to innovation, community, and the enduring legacy of Redhook.

About Widmer Brothers Brewing
In 1984, Kurt and Rob Widmer quit their jobs to follow a lifelong passion for making great beer that could be shared with friends and family. From the very first pitcher, the Widmer Brothers sought to make beer that’s easy to enjoy and perfect for sipping on the back porch or wherever life takes you. A lot has changed since then, but the truth that started it all remains – great beer brings people together. Widmer Brothers is proud to be celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2024 and looks forward to many more decades of delicious brews.
