Helly Hansen to Open Global Flagship Store in Newport, RI
Norway-based brand deepens its commitment to the sailing community of Newport this April 2025
DENVER, CO (March 2025) – Helly Hansen, the leading global sailing brand trusted by professionals around the world, is proud to announce the opening of a new flagship store this April, located at 124 Thames Street, Newport, Rhode Island. The 6,400 sq. ft. location will enable Helly Hansen to directly serve and support Newport, a global sailing capital, with a wide range of technical sailing apparel and footwear, as well as marine lifestyle and technical outdoor products.
With nearly 150 years of knowledge and expertise creating performance-driven apparel, Helly Hansen has developed lasting partnerships with top sailing athletes and teams including New York Yacht Club American Magic (the US Challenger for the 37th America’s Cup), as well as global sailing events such as The Ocean Race, known as sailing’s toughest team challenge. As part of the brand’s strategy to grow its presence in key markets throughout North America, Helly Hansen currently operates 13 brand stores in the US and Canada, with a new store opening in Denver, CO, in mid-April.
