Alpine Canada Alpin and Helly Hansen Renew Partnership
VANCOUVER, BC (October 2023) —Alpine Canada Alpin (ACA) and Helly Hansen have announced the renewal of their partnership for an additional four years. For the past eight years, Helly Hansen, a leader in technical outdoor apparel has provided professional grade ski apparel and gear to the ACA athletes, coaches and support staff, gathering insights and feedback to drive further design and evolution of Helly Hansen products to meet the needs of professional ski teams from training to competitions. The partnership will extend through the end of the winter 2026/2027 season, including the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Driving the continued partnership is Alpine Canada Alpin and Helly Hansen’s shared motivation to elevate and promote the sport of skiing in Canada to make the country a proud Ski Nation. As a Premier Partner and the Official Outerwear, Baselayer, Apparel and Accessories Supplier to Canada’s National Alpine and Para-Alpine Ski Teams, Helly Hansen will continue to provide top-of-the-line apparel including race suits specifically tailored to their needs in order to empower the best performance possible.
“It’s been wonderful to see how ACA and Helly Hansen have continued to benefit from our partnership these past eight years,” said Mags Doehler, VP of Partnerships & Marketing, Alpine Canada Alpin. “We have no doubt that the brand has contributed to the success of the CANskiteam including record breaking performances last season. We’re excited to continue celebrating the brand as our alpine and para-alpine teams work toward this season and beyond including our sights on the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.”
Through its work alongside professionals and top athletes around the world, Helly Hansen has gained a deep understanding of their needs to enable the development of apparel and gear to perform in the harshest conditions. The relationship with ACA has directly influenced numerous design features to improve ease of zipper use and functionality, comfort of layering and Helly Hansen’s proprietary Life Pocket™, built to extend battery life of mobile phones in cold conditions. The Life Pocket, as well as the additional features, have since been incorporated into the uniforms of over 55,000 professionals worldwide, including ski patrol, mountain guides and SAR teams.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Alpine Canada Alpin, a team we’re continuously inspired and impressed by,” said Sophie Boisvert, Marketing Manager Canada, Helly Hansen. “The insight we receive through working with the athletes and support staff has been invaluable in furthering our product innovation, truly exemplifying our commitment to create products that are developed with and trusted by professionals. We are proud to be supporting these top athletes for another four years.”
