WH inc. Expands Winter Sports Division, Welcomes New Hires, and Launches a New Edition LUMINATE Seasonal Media Guide
October 27, 2021 (Seattle, WA) — WH inc., an industry-leading active lifestyle marketing and communications agency, today announced new hires across multiple divisions and the addition of new winter sports clients ahead of the 2021/22 winter season.
Overseeing the agency’s North America winter sport and ski category, Katie Van Riper joins the team from Park City, Utah, as an Account Director. A former alpine ski racer, Katie’s professional experience is rooted in marketing roles at some of the largest ski resorts and organizations in the United States, including Boyne Resorts, Visit Salt Lake and Snowbird. In her new role, she will help guide marketing and communications projects across the agency’s winter sports portfolio, which includes Helly Hansen, LINE Skis, Full Tilt Boots, and recently onboarded K2 Sports, Atlas Snow-Shoe, Tubbs Snowshoes and snowsports tech brand Aleck.
Co-leading WH inc.’s digital marketing and creative team, Ken Stock has been brought on as a Creative Director. Ken brings with him a proven record of influential agency experience, reflecting an ability to build and lead diverse teams across a wide-ranging client portfolio that includes major consumer brands such as eBay, Ford and Frito-Lay. Working alongside Creative Director, Charlie Laughtland, Ken will collaborate closely with WH inc.’s multidisciplinary teams and execute projects for accounts including Beneteau, Phillips, Duraflame and others.
The agency’s third new hire is Zachary Zenteno, an Account Coordinator supporting the overland category, led by Matt Glass. Zach is a 2020 graduate of Seattle University, recently worked at REI, and carries with him a passion for the outdoors. A Southern California native and an avid cyclist, Zach recently completed a 120-mile round trip ride from Santa Monica to Huntington Beach.

All of this comes as WH inc. releases the fifth installment of their active gear guide, LUMINATE. This newest issue for Fall/Winter 2021 marks one year since it was introduced as an adaptive solution to in-person media gatherings that were put on hold due to the pandemic. The highly popular media guide maintains broad exposure across both the US and Canada, reaching an average of over 1,000 readers with a read time of more than 5 minutes. Housed within its pages are the latest and greatest products from some of the world’s most respected brands including Big Green Egg, Benchmade, Danner, Helly Hansen and many more.
