Sipping Dang Green IPA with the Oregon Ducks

Share

In our line of work, we get access to some pretty enviable experiences. In this case, we worked with the University of Oregon (I know, sacrilege for us UW Huskies fans) and Hop Valley Brewing to launch the first ever official craft beer of the Oregon Ducks – Dang Green IPA.

To launch the collab, we traveled down to U of O’s Autzen Stadium and got our first sip, standing next to an inflatable 30ft can of Dang Green and joined by U of O announcers, sports staff, local media and great group of Hop Valley distributors from the region.

So, you might be asking, ‘who cares, how’s the beer?” Hop Valley knows its audience, especially on game days, and I’ve got to say, they created the best sipping IPA I’ve had in a long time. This beer is smooth with a bit of fruitiness making it dang enjoyable and a go-to choice, especially at a hefty 7% ABV. The best part is that Dang Green IPA just hit stores around Oregon, is on-tap and in-can at Autzen stadium, and on draft around the greater Eugene area. Keep an eye out. You don’t want to miss it.

Beyond getting our first sips of the beer, the coolest part of the experience was walking through the players tunnel onto Autzen Field. I could only imagine the roar of 54,000 fans as the Ducks take the field. While I’ll probably never get to experience that aspect, I did get to throw a football on the field while sipping on a fresh IPA with a great group of new friends.

Go get some of that Dang Green!
